We are SO excited to be celebrating our 10th birthday and we've got some plans in store for this year as a way to say THANK YOU to all of you for being the reason we keep going. Together we create a scene. Together we come together to keep hardcore alive. Together we create an alternative to our boring been-there, seen-it, done-it society.

And to celebrate what we've created together, let's laser the $#!% out of each other! Frickin' out-cosmic bowl each other in full UV glory! Mangle each other in bumper cars as you channel your inner NBA star! Dodgeball the snot outta your favourite dj's! And let's not forget the epic ping pong challenges on the agenda! Re-live the epic Russia vs. Canada games on the air hockey table! Think you can make your quarter last forever at the arcade? Here's your chance to prove it without even having to put a dime into the machines! Billiards for those that wanna show off their mad skills or those that just think it's fun to put chalk on sticks! Tons more too! And to make it clear ALL ACTIVITIES ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR ADMISSION!!!

Oh, we're also gonna have all the bangin' music you've come to expect from an Embryon event! We've got access to four sound systems (including one main dance area) and you're gonna get a facefull of hardcore, dubstep, dnb, metal, ebm, groovy tunes and whatever else we're feeling! We've got some special guests curating playlists and trust us, this is gonna be blazing!!!

On the main stage we've got Eclipz, Fuzzboy, SpEdFrEk, Jane Void doing a live set (awesome!!!), D22T and Damo! That means you're gonna get your groove on to dubstep, hardcore, techno, electro, hardstyle! We programmed this one with an eye to just having tons of fun and getting those feet on the dancefloor!

Early bird tickets are being made available at BELOW our production costs and advance tickets are only $20. Compare that to other recent events and you've got an absolute STEAL on your hands! All the activities open at 10pm sharp and will end around 2am. That means doors at 9:30pm! Music will go past 2am, but you will want to get to the venue early to take full advantage of everything we've got on offer for y'all. Take part in as many or as few activities as you want. But when you see that cutie across the room, do you really need a better pickup line than 'hey, i bet i can WHIP your ass at mini cosmic bowling' or 'i wanna laser the $#!% outta you!'. Nope, don't get much better or easier than this!

Tickets can be purchased securely and easily via our online shop here with a credit or debit card.

This is a 16+ event for responsible partiers with a full bar for those with proper ID.
ROAR and no bull$hit policy in effect.

So, that Panacea guy sure knows how to kick some ass eh?

Thanks to one and all on making that event happen. People sometimes talk about memorable events, but we think that if you were there that night, it really was something that's gonna stick.

Then again, we like to set the bar high. Why do we bother running around for hours setting up decorations? Cuz in the end, we think you notice those details and we set a mood like no one else.

So did anyone notice?

We flat out LIED. Yep, we posted up some new mixes when we said they were on their way. Ha! We done good but you should know to check things out anyways. So go listen, download, burn, share, post and keep the scene strong.

...Deztro'll be rockin' Ottawa April 24th. Check it out here.

Also, our good friend Scartat has been crackin' out some tunes, so if you go catch him at a show near you, listen close for those original bangers!

It was great havin' B7 rock out with Jen Mas out in Rochester a few weeks back. Great town with some uber-nice promoters. And Jen Mas? What a great inspiration - she helps keep us on track cuz she's a freakin' machine. That's why it's called hardcore.

Can you believe it's actually the 8th installment of our annual series?! And seriously, these things just keep getting better and better!!!

Nov 27 2009

Every year We pick apart the music we love and expose the roots, the future, the present. Every genre influences another and we think it's fascinating as things change in front of our very eyes. It's all just one constant evolution of shared sounds, production and technology. Pure love.

The long months of winter have come and gone...

Let's see what we can do to get some noise goin' on in this place!!!!!!

But until we get that figured out, download the set we recorded at the February Embryon @ Darkrave party! The mixer was redlined to shit and this was blasted out by B7. Check the audio section or click the pic below!

We're gonna make a concerted effort to post up piles of mixes we've recorded over the years, so bear with us. And if yer tech saavy and got time, hell, we just might recruit ya to fix up this here website!

Many thanks to JaMmCat and everyone else for taking wicked pics for us last year!

the night that was... '09

Posted on: 02/11/09

dang. that was fun eh? sick sets from beginning to end.

awesome seeing so many great peeps out.

we like a lotta fog. unfortunately, the smoke detector didn't like it. luckily, it wasn't our fog machine that set it off! still, it kinda sucked cuz it went off smack dab in the middle of Dissociative Disorder's set! they cleared out most of the floor and apparently some people of the fire department category came up, took a peek and said their goodbye's. still, after that, the party picked up like nothing had happened and off went the tunes again!

new shirts and hoodies were in full effect and we sold out of a previous line and we're 1 piece short of selling out of a second line. we love to see ya proudly sporting your embryon gear. we can't do what we do without your support and it means a lot to us. keep the scene strong.

there should be some more pics coming out and we love to see the pics ya took yourselves (put 'em up on PR, put 'em up on facebook in our official group page or on the event page)! on that note, we'll see if we can't post up a set or two. we're overdue on that account and let's see what we can do to fill up your ears until the next party!

always feel free to drop us a line and let us know what ya dug and what ya thought stunk. we read everything and while we might not always be able to get back to ya, we take everything to heart.

so many thanks to all those dj's that played for us, all those that help spread the word, all those that show up and support, all those that lose their nut dancin' up a storm, our great friends at Darkrave, all those that work behind the scenes to keep things moving forward.

much respekt to all you hard headed muthafackas. we love ya.

Post Humous Reports

Posted on: 11/22/08

What a crazy few weeks we've had.

ENDYMION gets a massive thank you.
These guys play massive festivals, get top billing everywhere they go and are just so very down-to-earth and mad fun. Without their willingness to help build something in Toronto, this event would not have been possible. Many gracious thanks to Simon and everyone else that helped make the November 1st event possible. You know who you are and we're not gonna write it all down for fear of missing anyone at all.

As usual, so many thanks to everyone that came out to support and dance their asses off. So good to see so many old faces as well as new.

Everyone's sets were off the hook and you could see it on the faces of everyone in the club that night. Don Ritchie banged it up hard, Dingokiller blew 'em away and keeps proving why bookings keep coming his way. Belladonnakillz had the crowds shouting out the lyrics and Endymion just blew the roof off the place!!! Brutal beats, glitchy tech and soaring anthems, these guys just poured it on with tons of unrealeased material, forgotten gems and brain busting all 'round! Flim had a rough go with some techincal difficulties stemming from a single cable. But you know he kills it. Make no mistake, we'll have him back to make it up to you all. All the RvM machines - Shok, Pale et. al. were very different, but great addition to our typical lineups. They all helped pull this thing through when the chips were down. 'Nuff respect.

And onto Nov 8th's History of Hardcore: Year VII

First the bad...

Do what you're gonna do to have fun. But when your recreation has a detrimental effect on others, don't do it. At HoHC: VII, some people were being so disrespectful that come 2am, the lights were switched on. From the actions of a few stupid people, everyone else had their night ended early. A number of people got kicked out for doing stupid $hit. And yeah, we lost a valuable working relationship in the process. To those that were in control of themselves and not being blatantly stupid but were asked to leave due to not having ID, we know it sucks. It wasn't our decision. Trust us, we wanted everyone rocking out, nothing less. In future for everyone's benefit, please do bring identification. Yep, even for a 16+ event, you've still got to show you're 16 or over. Lesson learned for all of us...

KEEP THE SCENE STRONG.

Onto the good...

Don Ritchie comes out blazing with a pile of bangers!
B7 spends a half set throwing down a personal history of hardcore influences.
Robotpilot brings riot grrrl madness to the decks.
Gobz the Zombie takes up the hardcore mantle and throws down a crazy fun set of... well... everything!
Scartat proves why he's a such a hard-head fave - brutal basslines, grinding metal and hardcore beats.
Unabomber manages to squeak in a few quick tracks before the lights get thrown on entirely too early. It was a fun start if that's saying anything!

It was great to see so many new faces at Embryon. We hope you all had a blast. Know that our emphasis is and always will be the music - first and foremost.

And to our seasoned supporters, you help us keep our head in the game. We can't ever thank you enough. You're always there for us when we need you. Much respect.

JaMmCat swung by and took a pile of wicked pics... check 'em out here! Many thanks!

DJane Bux Spurs It On...

Posted on: 08/23/07

So we were bugging DJane Bux sayin' 'when's the next mix coming out?' She'd say something in german that we didn't know. So we'd ask again in english. Then she just sent us a new mix.

It's like we just figured out how to squeeze mixes outta people!

It's got breaks, it's got hard beats, it's got plenty o' hard techno and it's got plenty of classic oldskool beatdowns too! Crank it and enjoy... Spur!

Check the audio section!
